My WHY

Let me share a bit about myself and my story.....

I am a holistic life coach, author, Navy veteran, ordained minister, author, speaker, and entrepreneur. I love to hike, watch sunsets, and sunrises. I have two wild and amazing boys, two incredibly lovely fur babies, and a supportive husband. I believe that we need compassionate and mindful leaders in all industries, around all tables, including the tables in our homes. Leadership isn't just a role we fill at work. It spills out into all aspects of our lives.

Since I left my corporate role, I decided I needed to discover all the parts of myself. I also recognized I was human, not defective or broken, but a whole human in search of higher truth and, quite frankly, in need of some joy in my life. I realized I needed to develop compassion, gratitude, self-trust, and deeper listening to my inner guidance.

I decided I wanted to start saying yes to life. When you say yes to your life, there is the power to change your life. Wayne Dyer says it best, “change the way you see things, and the things you see will change.” A yes brings new approaches and points of attraction into your life.

I am a recovering co-dependent, work addict, high achiever, and perfectionist. Until I was in a fetal position in my closet crying over birth certificates, I wouldn’t realize I was burned out and suffering from severe anxiety. My suck it up, scrappy mentality had got me to a successful point in life, but at some point, they just led me to this feeling of being a dried-up sponge, and there is no better metaphor than that. I literally ran out of juice and joy.  At some point, I had to stop blaming others, “stuffing down” my emotions and take ownership and responsibility for where I was.

I knew I needed to tap into a:

New source.

New inspiration.

New Ways.

I just was at a complete loss.

That quest has sent me on a 2-year soul-searching journey. I dared to say yes to things that made me uncomfortable. I said yes to spiritual practice and even started pursuing my Doctorate in Philosophy for Holistic Coaching.  On this path, I became an ordained minister and received my Bachelor's of Metaphysics.

The path continued pointing me to my purpose, which I began realizing wasn't outside. It wasn’t somewhere out there; it was within.  I learned to listen to my inner guidance system (GPS) and its wisdom, which I call my soul solutions. These are inspired actions, treasures, and synchronicities in my life. My big awakening during this process is that I was chasing joy in all the wrong places. Until this point, I was seeking some external discovery of joy, a snapshot of my future success, a perfect marriage, and a certain income. I was placing my bets on everything but myself.

My exploration of creativity, spirituality, and coaching affected all areas of my life. I became aware that self-love would be non-negotiable as I searched the new terrain of my soul.  I became a new type of leader, wife, mother, friend, writer, creator, and business owner—I became more compassionate. I started to pursue myself, my authentic, raw self, because I felt so strongly I had a message that I must share.

My experience taught me what it meant to be courageous and show up for myself, take risks, and discover what it meant to be joyful, which meant first, I had to be lost before I was found.  And oh, there were dark nights of the soul—scary moments that were uncomfortable. You may be there right now. If you are, I would love to be there for you.

Let's talk.

The path I traveled had no road map. Nobody’s soul quest does. It’s individual, but I did discover some tools along the way that have radically reshaped my life, helping me create a more joyful life every day. Each one of us is the  Artist of our life. We can intentionally shape our lives by gracefully unfolding, or we can forcefully continue to push, pull and resist. You have the choice.

Life is all about choices. I love working with clients daily through coaching, webinars, workshops, and group programs.  If I can walk alongside one person on their quest for truth where they experience their soul solutions which give them clarity, confidence, and courage in their lives – I am living on purpose and fulfilling my mission to spread more joy.
